decifra burocrazia

Manifesto

Understanding a letter from the State shouldn't be a privilege.

A few months ago I opened a registered letter from the Italian Revenue Agency and didn't understand a word. I spent two hours on the phone with relatives, an accountant and a lawyer friend to get to the answer: it was a trivial matter. From there I thought, what about everyone who doesn't have those contacts or those two hours?

Decifra Burocrazia exists to give anyone, for €2.90, the answer I had to chase for two hours. No need to speak court language, no queueing at a CAF, no spending €50 with a consultant just to hear "don't worry, it's standard".

We don't replace an accountant. We don't replace a lawyer. When you need a professional, we say so. For everything else we give you the plain-language version, so you can decide with your head and not out of fear.

Four promises we keep

  • No hidden subscriptions. You pay as you go. If you pick the family plan, you cancel it from your profile in two clicks.
  • No aggressive upsells. No pop-ups, fake countdowns or shoutouts. Paid options appear after the analysis, only when they can actually help you.
  • No pointless legalese. We write in plain English. If we use a technical term, we explain it. When we're unsure about something, we say so.
  • No data hoarding. Your document is deleted within 24 hours. You delete the explanation whenever you want from your history.

How we keep the quality solid

The AI does the heavy lifting, but the answers are only as good as the people who wrote the prompt. That's why we set clear guardrails.

  • Prompt vetted by a team with first-hand legal experience. Our team includes practising lawyers in the Italian bar.
  • Manual spot-checks and report-driven review, especially on the trickier areas (court documents, enforcement, criminal matters).
  • Declared confidence levelon every answer. If we're unsure about an amount, a deadline or an interpretation, we say it explicitly.
  • Automatic refund if the analysis fails due to technical issues, and a refund on request within 24 hours for any reason.

Where we are today

No vanity metrics. We're at the start, and we'd rather tell it like it is.

How we fund this

Only with what you pay us. We don't sell your data, we don't run third-party ads, we don't earn commissions from the offices mentioned in your letters. If we ever build an API for CAFs and patronati we'll say so clearly on this page (spoiler: not happening).
